Sweet Myrrh Resin Incense 1 oz
Sweet Myrrh Resin (Opoponax) Incense 1 oz
Premium 'A' Grade Sweet Myrrh resin. Also known as Opoponax.
Sweet Myrrh (opopanax) resin is gathered from Commiphora erythracea. Commiphora is a flowering plant in the same family as frankincense and myrrh and grows in tropical climates throughout Africa, India, and southwestern Asia. Incisions are made in the bark allowing the sap to ooze out and solidify. The variegated, amber-colored resin has a warming, rich, earthy scent and is employed as incense, either alone or mixed with other resins.
However it is rarely burned alone. Usually in conjunction with frankincense or other residents. Myrrh increases the power of any incense to which it is added. It is also included in healing incense and sachets, and its smoke is used to concentrate, purify, and less object such as amulets, talismans, charms, and magical tools.
Do not leave candles, oil burners, charcoal disks or incense burning unattended. Always keep in a safe place away from flammable objects, children, and pets. Use a fire safe dish or plate to set candles and burners on.
