Brass Pendulum with Compartment

A metal chamber pendulum with a metal chain and plain top. The top of the pendulum can be unscrewed to reveal a small compartment to store a tiny stone, herbs or other small sacred item of your choice. The attached chain has a matching copper bead at the end which ensures the pendulum will not slip between your fingers.

The word 'pendulum' is from Modern Latin pendulum, first used around 1643. It is derived from the Latin adjective pendulus "hanging down". While the name we know is pretty old in the scheme of things, it has been used throughout history for more than 1640 prior to it's introduction into Europe.
